Privacy
Vote Rev Action Fund (VRAF) has created this privacy notice for InviteEveryVoter.org, a VRAF-controlled website, to explain how we use and protect information that you may provide while visiting our website and to demonstrate our firm commitment to Internet privacy.
VRAF may modify this policy from time to time so we encourage you to check this page when revisiting this site. This privacy policy is effective as of September 18, 2024.
Information We Collect
When you register, sign up to volunteer or subscribe to an email list on InviteEveryVoter.org, VRAF may ask you to give us your email address and the phone numbers of those you wish VRAF to send text message reminders to.
We do not currently accept donations at InviteEveryVoter.org; all donations are processed through ActBlue.com. When you donate through ActBlue, you will need to provide your name, address, occupation and name of employer, credit card information, billing address, and confirm that we may legally accept your contribution. ActBlue will provide VRAF with your name, address, occupation, employer, and any additional contact information that you use when donating, but not your credit card information.
This information is the only personal information that we collect. In the event that VRAF collects personal information beyond what has been specified here, we will provide specific notice to users at the time of collection.
How We Use Your Information
We use this information to message third parties if users request it, send information about RAF training programs, and assist with developing and evaluating VRAF programs.
Except as described in this privacy policy, we will never send any personal information that you provide to us, to any third party for any purpose. However, InviteEveryVoter.org may use Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google, in order to better understand your use of the website and how it can be improved. Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit a website, what pages you visit when you do so, and what other websites you used prior to coming to such website. Google Analytics collects only the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit a website, rather than your name or other identifying information. We do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with your Personal Information. Although Google Analytics plants a permanent cookie on your web browser to identify you as a unique user the next time you visit a website, the cookie cannot be used by anyone but Google. Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to the website is restricted by the Google Analytics Terms of Use and the Google Privacy Policy. Google utilizes the data collected to track and examine the use of the website, to prepare reports on its activities and share them with other Google services. To more fully understand how Google may use the data it collects on the website, please review “How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services” (located here).
How We Respond to Do Not Track Signals (For California Residents)
VRAF complies with the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA). CalOPPA requires organizations to inform users of whether the website responds to Do Not Track signals. Some internet browsers have incorporated “Do Not Track” features. Most of these features, when turned on, send a signal to the websites you visit indicating you do not wish to be tracked. Because there is not yet a common understanding of how to interpret DNT signals, nor a common definition of “tracking”, we do not currently respond to DNT signals on InviteEveryVoter.org.
Links to Other Websites
This privacy policy covers this website and its subdomains. These sites may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy policies of these third-party sites. We encourage you to read the privacy policies and review the practices of all websites you visit.
Other Disclosure of Your Information
Information about VRAF’s donors and website visitors is one of our most important assets and therefore we keep it confidential, except that we may make it available to others for the following, limited purposes: We may disclose personal information (1) when we have a good-faith belief that release is appropriate to comply with the law (for example, a lawful subpoena or the disclosure of donors on our reports to the Federal Election Commission and the Internal Revenue Service), (2) to protect our rights or property, or to protect our donors, artists and supporters from fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful conduct, (3) if we reasonably believe that an emergency involving immediate danger of death or serious physical injury to any person requires disclosure of communications or justifies disclosure of records without delay, (4) as necessary to carry out any requests made by you, or (5) to candidates, campaigns and other organizations that we believe are like-minded or that we believe that you may wish to hear from.
California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) Policy (For California Residents)
Non-profit organizations are not subject to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Therefore, because VRAF is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization, we are not subject to the CCPA.
Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) Policy
VRAF wants to help you guard your children’s privacy. We encourage you to talk to your children about safe and responsible use of their personal information while using the Internet. VRAF complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). COPPA governs the collection of personal information from children under the age of 13. VRAF strictly prohibits any use of the InviteEveryVoter.org by a child under the age of 13. VRAF does not knowingly collect, use or distribute such children’s personal information to any third parties.
In the event that we become aware that VRAF has collected information from a child under the age of 13, we will take immediate steps to delete that information from all VRAF databases. If you are aware that VRAF has obtained information from a child under the age of 13, please send an email to hello@VoteRev.org specifying your concern, and we will delete the information.
If you have any reservations, questions or concerns about your child’s access to this site or how information that your child provides is used by us, please contact us.
